Welcome to the Australian Institute of Professional Intelligence Officers (AIPIO) website, discussion forums and knowledge base.
AIPIO is the peak representative body for all intelligence professionals. The Institute was incorporated as a not-for-profit association in 1991 to develop the community of intelligence practitioners and promote the profession of Intelligence in Australia.
Intelligence practice is multi-disciplinary, which is reflected in the Institute’s diverse membership drawn from a wide range of practice areas, including; National Security, Defence, Law Enforcement, Compliance, Business, Academe, and the Information industry.
The Institute’s executive team is committed to facilitating transformative change in the intelligence profession. We seek to move the Institute forward to benefit the wider intelligence community through collaboration, member participation, transparency, and accountability.
I encourage you to join the Institute, participate in events, and proactively contribute to the development of the profession to ensure the practice of intelligence remains relevant and forward thinking.
