  The Institute is administered by a Board of Management, comprising 9 elected members (shown to right), and a number of co-opted members to strengthen Regional Support, and undertake other specific activities.

The Board is responsible to the membership through General Meetings.  Board activities are shaped by the AIPIO Constitution
Corporate CharterCode of Ethics, and a Strategic Plan, which ensure continuity of effort beyond the life of any one Board.

  Brett Peppler is a career intelligence officer with over 32 years experience, principally as a strategic intelligence analyst.

Mike Dever is a Canberra based security risk management adviser and engineer specialising in providing high-level protective security, counter intelligence and technical surveillance counter measures (TSCM) advice.

 Shannon Armstrong is a career intelligence officer and Senior Sergeant in the NSW police force.

AIPIO Secretary
Gillian Wilson is an Inspector in the Victorian police force, and has an extensive career in law enforcement covering more than 30 years

Patrick Walsh is the Course Co-ordinator for Charles Sturt University’s Criminal Intelligence program, which includes the postgraduate distance education program and National Strategic Intelligence Course.

 Kirsten Williams is currently the Manager of the Victorian Police State Tasking and Coordination Unit.

 Jess Reidy has a background in law enforcement intelligence, and the legal profession.
